Synekdoche

Synecdoche:
a figure of speech by which a part is put for the whole, the whole for a part, the species for the genus and vice versa; verbatim: co-understanding

"Synekdoche" focuses on the subject of touch - interpersonal, between human and place, and human and time. Through sequencing, juxtaposing  and comparing of text, image and movement, the concept of touch and the word's meaning are analysed. The artist book combines black and white photography, found footage and text to create a new archive of points of contact.
